Kiwiana research about Manuka Honey

We are learning about Kiwiana.

I learnt that manuka honey scientific name is leptospermum scorparium and the person who discovered manuka honey is Peter Molan.

Something that was very tricky to me was that I had to put the information into my own words and looking for information about manuka honey.

Something I could've done is research about another kiwiana item 

Sport Analytics

At Redhill school Sport Analytic people came to our school. After lunch my class to sport analytics. We walked in a line and we were set into different groups. We got to play fun activities. we had to run to see who is the fastest we also got to do some agility and we also had to stand on on eleg close our eyes and keep balance. While I was playing fun activities I learnt that we were competing with different schools and that when we stand on one leg and close our eyes it is really hard to keep balance. I found it very hard because we did a 500m run and I came fourth, . Next time i should do everything faster before I figured out we were competing against other schools.

Term 3 Reflection

What i have enjoyed at school this term is Highwire because we did painting and learning about
countries we never heard before.

I did really well getting information.

I think my brain could have done better because i slept in Highwire once.

One thing i wanna change about Tui Hub is everyone's attitude because some people don't do their work and they talk too much.

I am at a course at Highwire called Keeping it Real. I will be back toward the end of the term.

prevent bullying

WALHT prevent bullying I learnt that sometimes bullies will stop bullying and become friends.
I found it hard because it took a while to look for lots about bullying.
Next time I would try too look for more information about  bullying.

How to make a strong password

WALT make a good password. I learnt that you could use special characters, such as !, &... I found it easy because I could remember my password and if I forget I could remember the sentence that I used to make the password. Next time I should try and do a picture with 10101010101110.

verb beginnings

 WAL the difference between verbs, nouns, adjectives, interjections, prepositions and conjunctions.
I learnt that words ending with ''ing'' means its happening right now, and words ending with ''ed'' means that it has already happened. I found it hard because when I tried to do the sheet for the answers I couldn't do it, so I asked for help.
Next time I should try and remember how to do the sheet.

Soldier tryouts

WAL what its like to be a soldier.
I learnt that if you popped your head up while crawling on the ground you will be noticed and shot by an enemy. I enjoyed doing Soldier Tryouts because I tried to do chin ups and I did 20 meters of crawling. Next time I would try to do 3 km on our humongous field If I could make it.

Kiwican T1

 I learnt that kiwi can is a group of people teaching students responsibilities. I found it easy because i had a buddy to help me.
Next time I would try to do it by myself.

Making our Stories interesting.

 we are learning to make interesting Stories.

I found it easy because all I had to do is add part of my story and type words in for a picture.
I learnt that ''Looking through the'' is a hook which means the reader is gonna continue reading

Resolving conflict

 WALHT resolve conflict.
I learnt that an Owl has an win/win situation
I found it easy because we had to copy them on a paper
i did this because it is important
what I wish I could change is that the turtle is gonna be more positive

Public or Private

WALHT share things and keep some things personal
I learnt that sometimes good people can actually do bad things
I found it interesting because some private stuff can be shared with some people because it may not be that private
how I would change it is if it said something in the middle for private things that can actually be shared with people you trust

I am learning how to take care of a Chromebook.
I found it easy to find pictures and type.
I learnt that a computers main chip inside it is called a motherboard.

WALHT analyze a graph.
I learnt that Hone Heke was first to sign treaty.
No one wanted to interview James Busby.

My Mihi

WALHT write a mihi.
I learnt that Red Hill is a Mountain. I added pictures to make it more interesting. Next I would like to be able to say the words more clearly.
